Long-Term Illness

The fourth support group meeting for Twinless Twin members who lost their twin to long-term illness is coming up on Sept. 17. The special loss meetings are done via Zoom due to the physical distance between us all.
Our facilitator Jan Konya-Grabill, who is also vice president of Twinless Twins Support Group International’s Board of Directors, and I talked about a theme for the meeting, and she suggests we discuss twin guilt and all its ramifications and origins.
Jan’s twin Hal died on March 10, 2014, from a traumatic brain injury he suffered nearly 20 years before his death.
Jan says she is researching sources of information to share with the group when we meet. Twin guilt over the loss of our twins is a topic with many facets to explore and hard to resolve for many.
If you have topics you want to explore in the future please let us know. So please join Jan and me (Garry Rayno) for our fourth meeting, Sept. 17. The meeting will start at 3 p.m. on the East Coast, 2 p.m. in the Midwest, 1 p.m. Mountain time, and noon on the West Coast. I am not sure what the time would be in places like Europe or Australia.
A list of the other specialized meetings is on the Twinless Twins Support Group International website as well if you are interested in joining the discussion on other topics.
You do have to be a member of Twinless Twins Support Group International to attend the meetings.
Our fourth meeting will follow the same outline as the first, with about 90 minutes of discussion after we introduce ourselves. You do not have to have attended the earlier long-term illness support group meetings to attend this meeting.
We want to reach as many twins who have experienced this loss as we can.
Please let me know if you will attend the meeting by Sept. 15 and I will send out a Zoom link the night before the meeting.
